Scepter of the Shifting Sands Quest

This questline begins on the 12th of November. This is among the most legendary and challenging questlines in WoW, demanding players to collect uncommon resources and battle formidable bosses. The final objective is to strike the gong and subsequently unlock the Ahn'Qiraj gates, achieving the title of the Scarab Lord. The prize for finishing the mission by December 6 is a unique Qiraji mount which can be obtained by using a Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal. Players are better prepared for significant fights and rewards in the phase.

War Effort

In order to amass resources and get ready for Ahn'Qiraj's opening, the Alliance and Horde collaborated globally throughout the War. Horde Commendation Signets or Alliance Commendation Signets, which may be traded for practical goods, can be earned by players through the contribution of materials. The main objective for this is to give War Effort supplies for Ahn’Qiraj by delivering the materials to given locations. For Hordes, it’s Orgrimmar and for Alliance, it’s Ironforge. But regardless of player engagement, it will conclude on the 29th of November.

This phase also introduces a new reward system that allows players to obtain greater loot by taking on more difficult tasks. Also, having a suitable profession that enables you to obtain the required supplies will be helpful, even though many of them can be acquired through loot drops or the Auction House.

Battle against the Qiraji and Anubisath warriors

Defend the Barrens, Silithus, Thousand Needles, Feralas and Tanaris from Anubisath and Qiraji assaults. Rewards include the possibility of rare loot drops, Brood of Nozdormu reputation, XP, and gold.

The Nightmare Grove

Players will fight one of the Dragons of Nightmare in the Emerald Dream in the Nightmare Grove, a raid with four bosses. Like previous world monsters like Kazzak and Azuregos, the bosses change depending on which grove players enter and use Blizzard's incursion technology. This newly launched raid showcases many Dragons of Nightmare: Lethon, Emeriss, Ysondre, and Taerar. This raid employs the incursion mechanic, enabling players to teleport between bosses and providing a distinct experience. Reward includes the unique items dropped by each Dragon.

Bosses of Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj

  • Kurinnaxx, the initial boss among the six you will face inside the ruins. This battle demands significant agility, and additionally, the raid participants need to watch for the shifting sands below them to prevent incurring additional damage.

  • The 2ndboss fight inside the ruins is General Rajaxx, who commands the Qiraji army. You may find this enormous beast on the General’s Terrace, you will have to speak with Lieutenant General Andorov in order to start the fight. Also, keep your raid party ready.

  • The Reservoir contains Moam. It might be important to have specific players who can drain this strong sorcerer's mana in order to counteract his capacity to absorb it.

  • Down inside the Hatchery is Buru the Gorger. His biggest weakness is the eggs in the area; to overcome this, you must direct him in their direction.

  • The next one is Ayamiss the Hunter, who can be found inside the Comb. Keep in mind that she will start the battle in the air and must be hit by ranged attacks until she is on the ground and is prompted to face you.

  • The ultimate boss in the ruins is Ossirian, who is located in the Watchers' Terrace. To reduce his DMG, you must use the crystals strewn across the chamber.

Bosses of Temple of Ahn’Qiraj

WoW SOD Phase 6 Temple of Ahn’Qiraj

The Gate Opening

The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, a raid dungeon for groups of 10 or more, and the Ahn'Qiraj Temple, which accommodates 20 or more players, become accessible once the 48-hour conflict concludes, allowing players to explore the treasures and creatures within. You now need to defeat each boss to complete the dungeon in these raid dungeons.

New Raid System

Players will have to choose how far they want to push their skills inside the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj and the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj to receive extra prizes through an optional new system called "Descent into Madness."  In addition to the guaranteed loot that the bosses in these two raid dungeons drop, these extra awards can be obtained.

If you as a player are opting to challenge yourself against the heightened difficulty of each boss are given a restricted number of tries to achieve these additional rewards. If the raid team is successful, they will earn a bonus chest that offers extra items for the raid. Players have the option to raid the bonus chest for extra rewards or decide to move on to the next boss.

Choosing to proceed to the next boss will eliminate the prior chest and enable the raid to attempt to obtain a new chest with extra items following the next boss. Checkpoints are established as you advance through the raid dungeon, ensuring that if you encounter failure at any stage, you will still receive a minimum quantity of bonus loot provided you have reached one of those checkpoints.

The majority of the loot provided to you by bosses is now baseline, rather than requiring the tougher level as it was in earlier Season of Discovery rounds. The bonus treasure will be quite limited, the base number of drops per fight will be larger, and many of these extra rewards will only be cosmetic.

Public Test Realm

On Friday, November 15, the system will be made available for players to test on the PTR.

Conclusion

Players will find a ton of new content in WoW SoD Phase 6. The Ahn'Qiraj Gates will open on November 12 once the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest starts. In a server-wide War Effort, players amass materials to unlock new content and get ready for fierce combat.
